Membership

Here at MRC there are loads of benefits to joining the club. The Annual Subscription is due to expire
on 31st March 2024. Club subscription is £30 which includes £19.50 Welsh Athletics registration fee.

The new membership period is 1st April to 31st March.
The benefits of membership include:

1. Registration and affiliation with Welsh Athletics every registered member will be issued with a
unique registration number and access to an individual profile on the UK registration system.
Insurance cover to protect you whilst you take part in the sport. Every registered and affiliated
member will receive a £2 discount across a number of licensed road race events in both Wales and
the UK.
2. As a club we will be targeting races with transport arranged.
3. We will be putting on a free 10K in the summer.
4. A free training session on club night for members on Thursday at 6pm and Sunday at 9am from
Merthyr Leisure Centre.
4. Weekly roundup of races and celebrations of PB’s by members
5. Social evenings: a summer party and a Christmas party.
More importantly the support and love of a running family with super cool kit to wear to races!

Annual Subscription

Payments to be made to Merthyr Running Club via BACs using your name as the reference. An email will be sent once you submit your details below. 

    I certify that the information given above is correct. I declare that I am an amateur as defined by UK Athletics rules and that I will abide by these rules. I am medically fit and understand that I participate/enter in any club activities/events entirely at my own risk. I agree that Merthyr Running Club shall not be liable for any accidents, injury, loss, damage or claim an expense that may arise in consequence of my participation in club activities/events. By becoming a member of Merthyr Running Club, you are automatically agreeing to the code of practice as stated by Welsh Athletics – this relates to the codes of conduct, to the rules of UK Athletics and to adhere to all anti-doping rules and regulations.

    When you become a member of or renew your membership with [Merthyr Running Club] you will automatically be registered as
    a member of Welsh Athletics. We will provide Welsh Athletics with your personal data which they will use to enable access to
    an online portal for you (called myATHLETICS). Welsh Athletics will contact you to invite you to sign into and update your
    MyATHLETICS portal (which, amongst other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings).
